Magnetism of the heart may face one charge. In the parade of styles, procession of theatrical methods and review of literary trends, the director used up practically all theatrical possibilities, lie wrung theatre like a mop. offering the audience a bath of tears and the combined forces of laughter, terror and emotion. Chasing after theatrical effects, the director has used all the ink in his pen. said everything he had to say. did not hide any part of the theatrical world, of its mystery. This charge may be refuted, however: the performance is but a struggle with text - fantastic and threatening like a zombie. Deconstructionist combat with the text must be carried on until the end. It is the only way to prove the unlimited vitality of the subject matter uncovered by Fredro. This is the only way of avoiding being caught in the net and trap of drama whose many letters have been deceased long since. To kill in order to rescue is a truly anti-vampiric action, like the driving of a wooden stake.
