EXIT ONLY - Jacqueline Sobiszewski

The exhibition EXIT ONLY is the first part of Jacqueline Sobiszewskis photo project, in which she tries to go beyond the walls of theater and find new urban space for photography.

Jacqueline Sobiszewski– director of photography and lighting designer, graduated from the National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. She has been cooperating with TR Warszawa since 2008 and has designed lighting for over thirty theatrical productions in theatres and opera houses worldwide, including TR Warszawa, Stary Teatr in Cracow, Teatr Narodowy in Warsaw, the Burgtheatre in Vienna, the Schaubühne in Berlin, the National Opera House of Lyon, St. Ann's Warehouse in New York, Toneelgroep in Amsterdam and the Bavarian State Opera House. Jacqueline Sobiszewski makes commercials, video clips, short and full-length films. She is also a fashion, artistic and documentary photographer. In 2005 Sobiszewski took part in Polish Woman – Medium – Shadow – Image (Polka – medium, cień, wyobrażenie) - an Exhibition in the Centre for Contemporary Art. Her photos make part of an album dedicated to Grzegorz Jarzyna’s theatre work. She is also an author of posters (e.g. poster for Agnieszka Glińska’s Seagull) and book covers.
